da environment

the environment has been a touchy subject for years now, what with all that talk of climate change and greenhouse gases and melting ice caps and all that other bullshit. a constant criticism of the conservative party is their lack of committment to reducing our country's greenhouse gas emissions and their disinterest in investing in the development of clean energy technologies. while the liberals promise to "make an historic investment in clean energy and energy efficiency, quadrupling Canada’s production of renewable energy, and creating a cap and trade system with hard caps leading to absolute reductions in greenhouse gas emissions," the conservative party's platform on the environment has been a little bit less... focused.

but that doesn't mean old steve-o doesn't have something up his sleeve! i think that the conservatives know that they're going have to change their stance on environment if they want to steal--earn--any of those environmentalists' votes back!

time to start giving a shit

well fellow canadians, it seems that we'll be having a spring election this year, which means from this point on, we'll have to start giving a shit about politics again.

its been a while, but i think we can shake off the apathy that we canadians are infamous for and make this one of the most exciting elections to date! or we can just go for consistency and generally just sit back and say, "fuck it all."

as i've just recently become a legal adult, this will be my first election! and truth be told, i'm already fucking sick of canadian politics.

let the shenanigans begin.
